Introducing My "War" Podcast

War is a thing where people fight. Well thats not all. It's also a Podcast series that I am making. It is like Star Wars, The Clone Wars, but not totally like it. There is lots of new things. Also it will teach you that little things can help big things. And the strongest thing that it is about is the key of death. It can control anybody whenever it wants, so if you discover it, you can control anybody. Also it can make the strongest person on your team kill everybody, if you discover it. Take a look at this diagram to see the difference between war and Star Wars.

Also, please show the podcast to your kids.. they will like it!

My Temple Adventures

This last weekend I got to take a special trip to Utah. My mom wanted me to be able to see the inside of a temple even before I turned 12 so we made a trip to Utah to see the inside of the Draper Temple.. They just finished building it.

While we were there we also saw the Oquirrh Mt. Temple, which they are still building. I also got to go see the Salt Lake Temple from way up high in the Church Office Building. We ate lunch in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and I had a great quesedilla at a restaurant called the Nauvoo cafe. It was yummy. Then we went to the Jordan River Temple.

If I keep this up, soon I will have seen all the Utah Temples! How cool is that?

I love seeing the temples. They are all very pretty and it was really cool being able to see what they look like inside. I especially liked the mirrors in the sealing room, the Celestial Room and the baptismal font. Here is a list of all the temples I have seen so far. (I am just posting pictures from this trip here.. Scroll down for more pictures of me and the temple)

My Trip to Idaho and Utah

One day me and my mom went to Idaho. When we got to the airport we got picked up by Aunt JoLynn. We got to spend the night at her house. The next day we went to a family feast together. There were a lot of people and good food.

One of the days I got to stay at my Aunt JoLynn's house with my cousin Katie. And I got to play guitar hero and I played the super hero game with Marvel super heroes.

It got to go see the play "The Forgotten Carols". It was cool.

On a cold day I got to go ride a 4 wheeler with my cousin Damon for about 3 hours. I got to go really fast. I saw some rats in the field and I hit one of them on accident because I was going to fast. At first I was really nervous and had a hard time turning so I crashed into the fence. Later in the day when I was doing really good and going really fast and turning better, I got to go on the pee wee track. I was doing really good on it and it was fun.

There was a big track that is used for races and it looked cool to go on. So, they let me go on it and on a really sharp turn I crashed into a creek and almost ran over my foot.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was visiting lots of temples and taking pictures of them. I learned that some temples have a statue of Moroni on top and some don't. I had my own camera and my mom let me take pictures. These are the pictures I took.

I saw the Logan temple first.
Then we went to see the lights at temple square at the Salt Lake City temple.
Then we went to visit the Provo temple.
Then we went to the Mt. Timpanogos temple where my mom and dad got married.
On this trip we also got to visit my Burdett relatives; Kevin, Bev, Eric, Thomas and Copper. They let us stay at their house and took us back to the airport. I had a lot of fun playing with Eric and Thomas. I also got to meet my Grandpa Chuck for the first time.

I got to visit lots of family, see lots of cool things and had a good time. THE END

My Favorite Show: Ben 10

My Grandpa Chuck asked me in an e-mail about what Ben 10 is. I thought I would answer this question with a blog post. I really like Ben 10, I have lots of Ben 10 stuff and I have a lot of fun with it.

Ben 10 is a tv show about a kid named Ben who is 10 years old. One day he was camping with his Grandpa Max and he went walking in the woods. Then he saw a shooting star, but it really wasn't. Like magic, it began going towards him and crashed near him and made him fall over. When he got up a little pod opened up. Ben was curious. He saw a watch (he later found out was called an Omnitrix) and when he bent down to try to grab it, it jumped on to his wrist. He soon discovered that the watch allowed him to turn into many different alien species that he could use to save the world.

Ben 10 lasted for 4 seasons (I finally have them all on DVD!!) and now a new show is on called Ben 10 Alien Force, where Ben is 16 and has a whole new set of Alien species including Swampfire, Humungosaur, Jet-Ray, Brain Storm, Goop, Spider Monkey, Alien X, Big Chill, echo echo and Chromostone. Here is a picture of my favorite and powerfulest alien on the show.. Alien X:

I have been collecting Ben 10 toys for the last 3 years. I really love finding new toys for my collection. I have all the toys released so far and am keeping a constant look out for new ones coming soon, to try to talk my parents into getting for me.

Last spring, my mom converted my room into a Ben 10 room. I had outgrown my old city mural and my Mom and I decided to paint a Ben 10 mural on my wall. And now I have my mural, Ben 10 posters and Ben 10 colored bed and curtains. It looks really cool. My Mom did a really cool job. She is awesome!

Obviously, I really like Ben 10!!! Here's a video of the show's theme song that shows a lot of what the show looks like:

Tanner's Updates

The day before my birthday I beat my goal to learn how to ride my bike before I was 8. It wasn't easy. My dad and I had been working on it for a long time. But since I had a goal, I was determined to make it. It was dark and late the night before my birthday when I finally figured it out. But I made it. Now, my Dad and I ride as much as we can. My favorite is when my Dad and I ride to Dairy Queen for an ice cream treat! Here is a picture of me riding my bike.

On September 3rd school started. I was exited to see my friends and my new teacher is very nice and she makes science very fun!

Also, now that I am finally 8, my Dad is letting me try out having an e-mail address (with lots of rules....) :(, so you can send me an e-mail at tanner@stevebarth.com. So either send me an e-mail or comment on my blog posts. I like hearing from everyone!

My Not So Fun Trip to the Doctor

Last week I had to go to the doctor. My big toe was hurting and we wanted to know what it was. The doctor looked at it and said it was a wart.

The doctor told us the 4 different things that would get rid of it. We could do nothing and let it go away by itself which could take a couple of years. We could put duct tape on it for a couple of months. We could soak it every night and put medicine on it then duct tape for a couple of weeks. Or, we could freeze it and let this spot grow and then fall off. We chose freeze.

I did not want to do freeze. I was thinking of doing something else. But, I had to do it. And it was not fun. First she had to trim it down a little which hurt a lot. Then she had to freeze it with this really, really, really, really cold stuff. It really hurt bad. But at the end, she let me dump the cold stuff out of the cup. When I was done, my toe was still kind of hurting but I got used to it fast and then I was happy.

The doctor told me she was really glad that I didn't kick her when she was doing it.
The End
